Possible Cyberattack Disrupts Iran’s Rail Network- Fars – July 9, 2021
The report said that hundreds of operations on Iran’s railroads have been delayed or cancelled and thousands of passengers have been stranded without any accountability by those responsible for the operations of the railroad. At the time of this writing the website of the national railroad is out of reach and a message says, “We can assist you in a few minutes”. Fars also says digital ticketing and cargo services are out of order, adding to the confusion.

Message boards in train stations show cancellations though rail operator denies disruptions
The Fars news agency reported “unprecedented chaos” at stations with hundreds of trains delayed or cancelled. In the now-deleted report, it said the incident followed “a widespread disruption in … computer systems that is probably due to a cyber-attack.”
